Talking Vision Episode 428 13th June 2018

June 14, 2018

The Tammy Axelsen Lifetime Achievement Award recognises people who have made outstanding contributions to the Print Disability Sector. This year’s recipient was Christine Simpson. In this week’s Talking Vision, Jordie Howell, Chair of the Australian Braille Authority, music transcriber and lifelong braille user, chats with Christine about her life’s work: including establishing the telephone information line for the Association for the Blind, her work at RVIB (Royal Victorian Institute for the Blind) as a braille and other communications instructor and her work on the introduction of UEB (Unified English Braille).

Also on the program, we hear from Adam Morris who moderates a number of email forums on technology especially for people who are blind or have low vision.
